Painting class is effing BORING cause we are STILL doing still life. a;flkjsdlf NGHHHH!!! D<
That makes me sad cause i love studio classes as they usually give me a chance to have fun and be creative and grow artistically.
This just feels like a chore. :(

A CONSIDERATION!
Thing is, I wish I could write, y'know. Cause fandom is mostly made out of fic writers and sometimes it sucks to be an "artist". :/
So my question is, HOW DOES ONE GO ABOUT STARTING TO WRITE!? How did you guys start?
I'm fairly confident of my writings skills, but only in french, where I understand the grammar and syntax and spelling and stuff. Le français, c'est plutôt simple!!
ENGLISH IS HARD DAMMIT! ;___;

Er...how does one start writing? Good question. Haha. For me, I usually start with a sentence or series of sentences that won't leave me alone. Or perhaps just an image that I need to write about. It's different for everyone, but I imagine you could go about it the same way you go about doing art. Find some part that excites you or interests you and start from there.

What did you want to write about?! TELL ME!!!

Whenever i've tried writing before, like you said i'd begin with a sentence that's been nagging at me, but the moment i try to put down the words, it just seems wrong. And so i end up rewriting the same sentence about 5-6 different ways, and eventually i just give up cause i don't know which sentences work and which don't work anymore. :/

I didn't have anything specific in mind to write about, necessarily. I would just like to be ABLE to, if i ever want to or need to.
I've always been more of an "if all things fail, draw comics" kind of person. XD

I know how you feel, bb. I'm really self-conscious of my writing too. Sometimes you just have to let it go and move on; when you finish you can go back to that sentence and see if there's still something wrong with it.

Comics are cool, too; I wish I could draw.

Also, only start to write if you really really want to! OMG fandom needs SO MUCH MORE ART, you have no idea. I'm fresh from PW and Final Fantasy fandoms, and there the exact opposite was true -- endless /cm/ threads worth' of art, barely any fic. (Well, the PW kink meme excepted.) A balance would have been glorious, I guess, but honestly I just love both media so much ;____;

You just have to remember that half the time lowly fanfic writers... well, lowly fanfic writers like me, anyway... wish they could draw instead of write and worship your skills accordingly. Comm-spam, broess! I guarantee you'll get a similar response to this one more often than not. <3 <3 <3

THE BONESOSARUS IS KNOWN FOR ITS PECULIAR BARBED TAIL STINGER, WHICH IS PRIMARILY USED TO WARD OFF PREDATORS AND OTHER SUCH IRRITANTS. I am very jealous of anyone who can draw, because I can't, at all.

I totally agree with the person who said you need to turn off your inner editor - easier said than done, I know, and as you are probably aware I am totally typing this instead of switching on my editor and editing my bigbang story but whatever.

Write or die is a pretty good tool for turning off the tendency to keep rewriting the same sentence, I think. Kamikaze mode, of course!

I suspect the answer is the same as 'how does one start drawing' just whatever works for you as long as you practice.

Anyhoo, now I need to go find some other way to procrastinate.

But see, drawing is easier cause you just start with a line which becomes a shape and then details come along. It's tangible, or rather, has a holistic visible form. fic is... wording structure... O_O

Pourquoi je commente tes posts en anglais, moi, si tu es plus à l'aise en français ? *bangs head* Avec les Français ou les Belges, c'est facile, mais avec les Canadiens, les gens peuvent être soit anglophones soit francophones, et vu qu'on poste tous en anglais, je finis par m'y perdre.

Je ne peux pas écrire de fics en français, ce serait trop bizarre surtout les scènes de sexe.

Et c'est bien que tu dessines ! :-) Justement, il n'y a pas assez d'artistes ! Enfin, ça ne t'empêche pas de faire les deux, de toute façon.

Tu as raison. Et puis il y a plein de termes spécifiques au fandom qui seraient vraiment bizarres à traduire.

Ça ne m'empçecherait pas de dessiner, mais ce serait bien de POUVOIR écrire si jamais je le voulais, tu comprends? Je suis le genre de personne à vouloir apprendre à tout faire XD
