Hi all!!

First off, HOUSEKEEPING ANNOUNCEMENTS:

I have decided to furthermore attempt to crosspost all my posts from DW.
Don't worry though, I don't plan on leaving LJ any time soon as most of my fannish activity is still based here. But I really support DW as a platform, and what with the recent shenanigans Lj just pulled, it's good incentive for me to get in gear and establish my DW a bit more.
So. My Dreamwidth is Lunatique for those of you who wish to add me there.

Also, in light of the recent LJ shenanigans, I wish to make clear the following (even if I'm sure all you sensible people know and understand this already.)

Life has been pretty busy in Yue-land~ I went down to Ontario to visit a friend after coming back from BC, and ended up staying a bit longer than expected. Then said friend came to Montreal with me and stayed over for a few days while she settled appartment stuff.

And then there were the most excellent guests staying at frigg's place. Lots of fannish fun was had.

Now school has started, and so has my job. My classes are very interesting so I'm super excited~ Plus I actually get to be in the same class as friends this year. \0/
The job is very simple, and I am basically paid to do... not very much at all, which is stupidly exhausting in a certain way. But I'm not complaining. Once schoolwork gets busier, I'll appreciate the time to work on homework.

I have a million things to draw and YES I AM AWARE how extremely extremely bad I am with owing people pics. I am slowly but surely making my way through the list. Fear not, I have not forgotten. I can only beg for forgiveness for the extreme lateness. *flops all over floor*

In other news, BBC Sherlock has eaten my brain. More fannish updates to come.

Lj is being stupid about privacy by offering to crosspost to facebook/twitter. It won't be a problem if it was only journal entries, but people can do that with comments too.

i don't personally care much since i have neither facebook nor twitter, but its the principle of the thing.

I don't see how the comment crosspost is bad. If a thread OP wants to crosspost comments, he or she would copy-paste them anyway. LJ probably didn't want to do harm, more like "crosspost is the hype so let's do it".

I entirely agree. I have so much love and respect for DW and its creators. They really do all they can to accommodate everyone. Also, good god, LJ, facebook and lj DO NOT MIX. Doesn't everyone know this? Idek know why I'm surprised by anything anymore. *sigh*

BBC SHERLOOOOOOOOOOOCK. I named my phone after Benedict Cumberbatch, for goodness sakes. Something is wrong with me. ;_____; I wasn't going to, but then I kept thinking of my phone as Benny in my head and I gave up. *cries some more* I like to call him Benedict Bandersnatch Cumberbatch (because it's so easy to (lovingly!) make fun of his name), so my other nickname for my phone is BBC, which just makes me giggle like mad person. I'm so clever it hurts. D:
