Day 6 - Minnewanka Lake
This is the first thing I see this morning when I look out our room window.

Today was a rather relaxed day and we went to Lake Minnewanka, which apparently means "Water of the Spirits".

Tiny!Sulu was happy, he always wanted his own motorboat!
We hiked a little around it while taking in the scenery.

Then we had a picnic, during which a squirrel tried to pass itself off as a long lost cousin and obtain some bread crumbs.

We went on a little boat cruise across the lake and learned some fun facts about the area, like the merman legend and the fact that a whole town in submerged underwater and the area is a prime spot for divers who can go underwater and explore the town, take picture on the underwater toilet bowl, and play underwater golf. :P Our captain was also a Quebec native so it was nice to hear some hometown french soo far from home. :)

There were some nice rocks so Tiny!Chulu built another, bigger one. My modified iPod came in handy once again. Too bad only tiny!Chekov knows how to operate it. :/

Wildlife count!!
Deer: Many, including some running on the far beach.
Chipmunks and Squirrels: Still soo many and up close
Goats: Also many
Bald Eagles: 2
Today was a slow day and I was strangely tired, so I'm grateful for the lack of excitement, in some ways. It's also our last day in Banff. Tomorrow we drive back to Calgary, and the next day we're catching a Greyhound to Vancouver.
The weather has been gorgeous the whole time. There were plenty of thunderstorms but none we got caught in, and all our sightseeing was done is beautiful sunny weather. THANK YOU BANFF!
NOTE:
I forgot to say this, but anyone who wants to use these pics for anything is welcome to do so, no credit is needed.
However, please credit iKtizo on Esty for Tiny!Chulu in case you feel it's needed.
